Salary: USD 140,000 - 165,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead contract strategy, negotiation, and execution across a portfolio of commercial and government-facing programs in the space, defense, and national security sector.
You will own the full contract lifecycle from RFP through proposal, negotiation, award, execution, and closeout. This role requires operating across commercial fixed-price agreements and U.S. Government regulatory frameworks (FAR/DFARS). You'll serve as a strategic business partner across Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain, helping drive disciplined contract execution, protect margins, and enable scalable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing contracts across their full lifecycle and leading contract structuring to support favorable business outcomes
- Negotiating directly with primes, customers, and suppliers on terms, pricing structures, and changes
- Identifying contractual, financial, and operational risks early and driving proactive mitigation strategies
- Evaluating scope risk, pricing exposure, compliance and regulatory risk
- Reviewing solicitations and shaping proposal strategy and contract structure
- Ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, export controls, and internal policies
- Interpreting clauses and ensuring proper flowdowns to subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting readiness for CPSR and increased government scrutiny
- Acting as a true business partner across programs, engineering, finance, legal, and compliance functions
- Traveling between multiple sites as needed
The role reports to the Senior Director of Contracts and is onsite in Folsom, CA with potential multi-site responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Contracts, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in contracts
- Strong experience with commercial FFP (fixed-price) contracts
- Strong experience with FAR/DFARS (flowdowns required; prime experience preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex agreements independently
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and mitigate contractual risk
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience transitioning from commercial to government contracting environments
- Professional certification (NCMA – CPCM/CCCM)
- Experience with aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing
