Cohere, a leading enterprise AI company, is seeking a Contract Manager to join its dynamic legal team. This role is critical to scaling Cohere's contract operations as the company grows rapidly in the AI space.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related requests that don't require legal counsel, providing timely guidance on standard contract terms and processes. Key responsibilities include managing the full contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, including drafting standard agreements, managing approvals, and maintaining contract repositories. You'll oversee contract compliance and key dates, providing proactive notifications for renewals, expirations, and critical milestones.
You will develop and implement efficient contract management processes and workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Finance) to ensure contract terms align with business objectives, and support the legal team with contract administration and data entry. Additional duties include creating and maintaining contract templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures; analyzing contract data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; and assisting with contract reporting.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of contract management experience, preferably in a fast-paced technology or AI company. You should possess strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels are essential. You must be proficient with Ironclad contract management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google productivity tools. Experience with standard contract types (NDAs, master service agreements, procurement contracts) is required. Familiarity with AI industry contracts and technology sector agreements is a plus. You should be proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
