Apex is a fast-growing aerospace company manufacturing satellite buses (spacecraft platforms) at scale using software, vertical integration, and hardware designed for manufacturing. The Contract Manager will join the Legal Department, reporting to the Director of Legal, and manage the full lifecycle of Apex's contracts. This role serves as a critical liaison between internal stakeholders (Business Development, Mission Management, Supply Chain, Finance) and external parties (customers, suppliers, government counterparts). Key responsibilities include: - Drafting, reviewing, and managing a broad portfolio of government and commercial agreements (MSAs, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, purchase agreements, service agreements) - Administering contracts from intake through execution, performance, modification, renewal, and closeout - Maintaining internal contract databases with key dates, parties, obligations, deliverables, and scope - Tracking contractual deadlines to ensure timely performance and compliance - Developing and maintaining contract templates, playbooks, and standard terms - Supporting proposal and bid activities by reviewing solicitation documents - Serving as liaison to resolve contractual issues between internal and external parties Required qualifications: minimum 5 years contract management/administration experience, understanding of government contractual regulations (FAR/DFARS), bachelor's degree in business administration or legal studies, experience drafting/reviewing commercial and government agreements, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in satellite manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries; government contract experience; contract lifecycle management (CLM) software; export compliance or procurement experience; and relevant credentials (paralegal certificate, JD, CFCM, CCCM).
