Muon Space, a LEO satellite constellation provider founded in 2021, seeks a detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join its Legal and Contracts team. This hybrid role (3 days/week on-site in San Jose) supports the full lifecycle of commercial and government contracts (DoD, IC, Civil), working cross-functionally with Growth, Mission Engineering, and Supply Chain teams. Key responsibilities include: • Contract Review & Drafting: Produce and review standard NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts, Consulting Agreements, Vendor Agreements, and Purchase Order terms against established playbooks and templates. Ensure basic flow-down of prime contract requirements under guidance. • Risk Identification & Escalation: Identify deviations from playbook positions and unfavorable clauses; prepare structured review summaries and flag business/legal risks for senior counsel. • Proposal & Capture Support: Partner with Growth/capture teams during pre-award phases; assist with RFP compliance checklists, representations and certifications, and proposal submission packages. • Contract Administration & Deliverable Tracking: Monitor post-award execution, track contractual deliverables and CDRLs in project management systems (e.g., Asana), coordinate contract modifications, and serve as day-to-day administrative point of contact for customer counterparts. • Government Systems Administration: Maintain and update company profiles, representations, and certifications across SAM.gov, PIEE, WAWF, and supplier databases. • Contract Operations & Records: Maintain audit-ready digital filing systems, ensure version control, and accurately log contract metadata and key deadlines. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Growth, Mission Engineering, and Supply Chain on contracting status, timelines, and deliverable submissions. Required: 3+ years contracts administration, subcontracts, or legal operations experience (including internships); Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant experience or Master's degree; basic FAR/DFARS knowledge and familiarity with federal systems (SAM.gov, PIEE, WAWF); strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage concurrent tasks; clear communication and collaboration abilities. Nice-to-have: Active TS security clearance or eligibility; space systems, satellite, or aerospace contracting exposure; Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool experience; professional certification coursework (NCMA CFCM or CPCM). This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-to-mid-career contracts professional to build expertise in commercial space and defense sectors under direct mentorship.
