Octopus Energy is building out its in-house underwriting team at Octopus Electric Vehicles, focusing on credit risk assessment for both B2B and consumer segments. The role involves expanding underwriting capability for business contract hire and salary sacrifice products while also assessing consumer credit applications.
You will be part of a team creating new policies, processes, and technology tools to efficiently and accurately assess credit risk. The company is investing in best-in-class technology and datasets to enable quick credit line decisions for both B2B and consumer clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating consumer and B2B credit applications
- Developing and refining underwriting policies and processes
- Contributing to the design of technology tools for credit risk assessment
- Working toward becoming an industry leader in credit decision speed and accuracy
- Assessing credit risk across multiple product lines (contract hire, salary sacrifice, consumer lending)
