Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company headquartered in Seattle, is seeking a Configuration (DevOps) Engineer to join their core development teams in Prague. In this role, you will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for C#/.NET and C++ projects across Windows and Linux build agents. You'll work autonomously on your own workstream end-to-end, collaborating closely with software developers, QA engineers, and IT operations. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining build automation systems to ensure seamless software builds and deployments, writing and maintaining scripts for infrastructure deployment automation, monitoring, and configuration management. You'll monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures, optimize build performance across the toolchain, and implement configuration management tools to ensure consistent environments across development, testing, and production. Documentation of processes, procedures, pipeline architecture, and operational standards is essential for clear communication and continuity. You'll proactively drive improvements to CI/CD processes, automation, and reliability, growing into ownership of build/release infrastructure health, security SLAs, and incident response as your scope expands. Technologies you'll work with include Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps (YAML Pipelines), PowerShell, Python, Bash, Docker, Git, Ansible, NuGet, and Conan. Required qualifications include 3+ years of hands-on experience with a CI/CD system (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar), experience automating processes with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python), ability to use REST APIs as a process automation tool, Windows and/or Unix/Linux administration and scripting experience (Bash), Docker experience, Git experience, and cross-team collaboration skills. You must be self-driven and autonomous, comfortable owning tasks end-to-end with minimal oversight, and possess English proficiency sufficient to communicate with international teams. Bonus skills include knowledge of C# and C++, experience with monorepositories and large build artifacts, IaC tools (Ansible), RPM repository maintenance, virtualization platforms, package-manager expertise (NuGet, Conan), and monitoring/observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus).
