OpenAI's Compute Strategy team is seeking a commercially minded strategist to develop partnerships, infrastructure capacity, and commercial models for AI infrastructure. You will work across research, engineering, product, finance, legal, and go-to-market teams to advance AI infrastructure strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing commercial strategies for AI infrastructure partnerships and offerings
- Structuring and executing transactions with chipmakers, compute providers, and infrastructure partners
- Creating pricing frameworks and business cases for infrastructure partnerships
- Evaluating partner technologies, strategic fit, commercial terms, and execution risks
- Coordinating cross-functional work across research, engineering, product, finance, legal, and go-to-market teams
- Building repeatable operating models that scale
Ideal candidates bring:
- Experience in strategy, corporate development, partnerships, or infrastructure transactions
- Knowledge of semiconductors and AI infrastructure
- Ability to evaluate complex technical and commercial opportunities
- Strong financial, analytical, and strategic judgment
- Proven ability to influence and align technical and business stakeholders
- Experience negotiating or executing complex partnerships
- Comfort operating in fast-paced environments
The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model (three days in office per week). OpenAI offers relocation assistance for new employees.
