FalconX is seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory adherence for the company's Cayman Islands operations while based in the New York City office. This role bridges local entity governance with global compliance operations, serving as the dedicated compliance manager for FalconX's Cayman entities. Key responsibilities include regulatory oversight of Cayman Islands frameworks (Proceeds of Crime Act, Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, Anti-Terrorism Act, Proliferation Finance Act), managing regulatory filings and communications, and acting as subject matter expert for new product assessments and ongoing compliance management of products offered from Cayman entities. The role encompasses AML/CFT and sanctions execution, including ensuring internal policies align with Cayman Islands regulations, handling escalated Enhanced Due Diligence reviews and PEP assessments, and overseeing compliance with sanctions regimes and digital asset Travel Rule obligations. The officer will prepare quarterly compliance and AML/CFT reporting for the Cayman Entity Board and global compliance leadership, and serve as internal advisor to NYC-based Product, Trading, and Legal teams on product launches and client structures involving the Cayman jurisdiction. Required qualifications include 5–10 years of financial compliance, legal, or regulatory experience with dedicated exposure to derivatives products. Candidates should have institutional background working within US-headquartered broker-dealers, crypto platforms, asset managers, or law firms managing offshore Cayman structures. Solid understanding of institutional digital asset market structure, execution flows, and custody models is essential. ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent compliance credentials are preferred. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting regulatory responses and board-level presentations, are critical.
