As Compliance Officer, you will support Volta's compliance function by monitoring day-to-day business activities and transactions to identify potential compliance issues or deviations from policy. You'll work closely with the Compliance Manager and cross-functional teams to implement and rollout compliance policies, procedures, and training across the organization. Key responsibilities include conducting or supporting internal compliance reviews and audits, documenting findings and tracking remediation efforts; maintaining compliance registers, trackers, and documentation to support regulatory reporting; monitoring regulatory changes relevant to the business and assessing their impact; supporting investigations into potential compliance issues; delivering training sessions on compliance obligations; responding to internal queries on compliance policies; and preparing regular compliance reports and metrics for leadership review.
You bring 2–4 years of experience in compliance, risk, audit, or regulatory roles, ideally within financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry. You have a solid understanding of compliance principles, regulatory frameworks, and internal control processes. You're detail-oriented with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to explain compliance requirements clearly to non-specialists. You're organized, comfortable with compliance tracking tools and systems, and bring a proactive, ethical approach with sound judgment when escalating issues. You work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Relevant compliance certification (e.g., ICA) is a plus but not required.
Volta offers competitive salary based on the work you do, equity in the company, retirement/pension contributions, comprehensive health and wellbeing benefits, and generous vacation days.
