Brex is seeking a Compliance Manager for Marketing to execute and scale the company's marketing compliance program across payments, cards, banking, and broader product lines. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that operates at the intersection of compliance, marketing, and product, ensuring customer-facing materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned with Brex standards. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving marketing materials across channels (web, SEO, campaigns, email, product marketing, promotional content) for compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations such as UDAAP and FTC advertising standards. You will ensure marketing claims are accurate, substantiated, and appropriately disclosed, including validation of performance-related claims. The role involves managing high-volume intake of marketing reviews, triaging requests, prioritizing based on risk, and meeting turnaround expectations in a fast-paced environment. You will partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Legal teams to translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance. Responsibilities also include tracking, documenting, and maintaining records of marketing reviews to support audit readiness and reporting. You'll identify and escalate higher-risk or complex issues with clear recommendations to senior compliance leadership, and support improvements to marketing compliance policies, procedures, training, and review workflows to increase efficiency. Required qualifications include 4–6 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk, or related functions within banking, financial services, or fintech. You must have experience reviewing marketing materials or customer-facing content in regulated environments and working knowledge of key marketing and consumer protection regulations (UDAAP, FTC advertising rules). Additional requirements include strong attention to detail, ability to assess risk pragmatically, clear written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment, demonstrated ownership and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, hands-on working style. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience supporting or scaling a marketing compliance review program and familiarity with fintech products across payments, card programs, and complex banking products. The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid arrangement requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to four weeks per year of fully remote work.
