Blockchain.com, a leading global crypto platform with 90+ million wallet holders, is seeking a Compliance Analyst Associate to join its fast-growing compliance team in Buenos Aires. Reporting to the Americas Head of Compliance, you will support the day-to-day operation of AML, CTF, sanctions, and financial crime frameworks with a focus on transaction monitoring and blockchain investigations. Key responsibilities include using Chainalysis to investigate wallet addresses, transaction histories, and exposure to high-risk entities; defining and implementing on-chain monitoring and travel rule frameworks; reviewing direct and indirect exposure to assess risk indicators; investigating Chainalysis alerts and determining appropriate next steps; supporting development and refinement of transaction monitoring rules and blockchain-related risk indicators; identifying emerging crypto financial crime typologies; ensuring travel rule program compliance with AML regulations; providing guidance to compliance team members on Chainalysis and blockchain investigations; contributing to internal guidance and best practices; working directly with Engineering and Product to design automated workflows; translating compliance requirements into technical specifications; identifying automation opportunities for manual investigative tasks; using AI/LLM tools to accelerate investigation write-ups and alert summarization; contributing to compliance technology stack architecture; and staying current on emerging AI and automation capabilities in blockchain analytics. You will need 3+ years of compliance, AML, financial crime, KYC, or transaction monitoring experience with hands-on Chainalysis expertise (including KYT and blockchain transaction investigations). Preferred experience includes Notabene, KYC/CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring reviews, and financial crime alert investigation. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, good judgment, excellent communication, organizational ability, and comfort working with developers are essential. Experience or strong interest in AI/LLM tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) is valued. Relevant compliance qualifications (ICA, ACAMS, CAMS) are preferred. You should understand cryptocurrency transactions, blockchain technology, and crypto financial crime typologies, and be able to think in terms of process design and system architecture.
