AlphaSense is seeking a Compliance Analyst - AI Governance to join its Strategic Risk team in Bengaluru. The role is central to building and operating AlphaSense's AI governance program, ensuring that AI systems are deployed, built, and procured in a well-governed, well-documented, and defensible manner to regulators, auditors, and enterprise clients. You will own the day-to-day execution of AI risk assessments, including intake, classification, evaluation, and documentation. As AlphaSense matures its governance infrastructure and rolls out a dedicated GRC platform, you will serve as the operational backbone of the program, translating frameworks such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO/IEC 42001 into repeatable, auditable processes. Key responsibilities include: completing AI risk assessments using established templates and criteria; maintaining the accuracy of the AI system inventory by adding and updating records of AI/ML systems, vendors, and use cases; leveraging the AI governance platform to enter assessment data and organize supporting documentation; gathering information and evidence to map use cases against regulatory frameworks; coordinating with engineering, product, security, legal, privacy, and procurement teams to collect assessment details; assisting with third-party and vendor AI risk reviews; drafting clear summaries and flagging higher-risk items to senior reviewers; and tracking assessment status and follow-ups. You should have 2–4 years of experience in risk management, GRC, compliance, audit, or data privacy, with exposure to AI governance, technology risk, or third-party risk. IAPP AIGP certification is required. You must be familiar with the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and ISO/IEC 27001, and able to apply their requirements to real use cases. You should be comfortable with GRC or governance tooling, AI-literate at a conceptual level (understanding how AI/ML systems work and the risks they introduce such as bias, hallucination, data leakage, and model drift), highly organized and detail-oriented, and a strong communicator able to translate technical and regulatory complexity into clear assessments and stakeholder-ready documentation.
