Scopely, a leading video game and interactive entertainment company (home to MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO, and other major titles), is seeking a Compensation Specialist to join the Total Rewards team in Barcelona. This role focuses on designing, administering, and improving Scopely's global compensation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and administer compensation programs including base-pay structures, annual/merit reviews, promotions, equity and incentive programs; contribute to plan documents, policies and system enhancements
- Own compensation systems and workflows by configuring, testing, documenting, and improving processes in Workday and related tools; partner with HRIS teams on enhancements and issue resolution
- Conduct market benchmarking and salary surveys; participate in survey submissions, perform market and cost analyses, and maintain salary ranges to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
- Analyze data and present insights using data analyses and cost comparisons to evaluate compensation and benefits policies; prepare reports and dashboards for executives and HR leaders
- Ensure compliance and data integrity by managing compensation reporting, audits, and data-integrity initiatives; document processes and maintain accurate records
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and re-engineering; implement operational and system enhancements in Workday; monitor industry changes and adjust compensation strategies
You will partner closely with People Business Partners, talent acquisition, and business leaders to ensure pay practices are competitive, compliant, and aligned with Scopely's innovative culture.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards analytics, finance, consulting, investment banking, or a similarly applicable field
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to perform data and cost analyses
- Proficiency in Excel, Python/R, and Workday Advanced Compensation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present compensation analyses and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, compelling manner
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong English language skills required for this highly diverse and global business
Bonus Points:
- Experience in the gaming, tech, or entertainment industry
- CCP or similar certification
- Experience administering base pay, merit cycles, promotions, and incentive programs, including market pricing and survey participation
- Demonstrated success partnering with HRBPs and business leaders on compensation issues and pay decisions
- Experience designing or implementing AI-assisted workflows, including prompt design, output validation, process documentation, and accuracy measurement
