Boulder Care, a Series C healthtech company focused on substance use disorder treatment, is hiring a Community Engagement Liaison based in Spokane, Washington. This hybrid role combines field-based community outreach (3–4 days per week) with remote administrative work from home.
You will serve as the trusted face of Boulder Care's mission in the community, building authentic relationships with healthcare providers, community agencies, correctional facilities, treatment centers, and other referral partners. Your primary responsibilities include conducting regional outreach to develop and sustain partnerships, coordinating enrollment efforts for assigned territories, presenting marketing materials at meetings, tracking outreach effectiveness, and identifying expansion opportunities. You'll manage referral partner accounts, assist with community education about Boulder Care's services, and meet established productivity and enrollment targets.
Additionally, you'll handle planning and documentation (15% of time)—completing follow-up correspondence within 48 hours, tracking activities, and attending weekly team meetings—and contribute to project management (10% of time), including coordinating across regions and developing 6–12 month statewide plans with clinical staff and leadership.
Required qualifications include 3+ years of community outreach, business development, sales, or referral management experience within healthcare or hospital systems; strong account management skills with a track record of driving growth through partner engagement; proficiency with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and Google Workspace; a current driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation; excellent oral and written communication skills including public speaking; ability to work autonomously; high ethical standards; and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Nice-to-have qualifications include prior knowledge of and passion for substance use disorder treatment, experience in hospital discharge planning or behavioral health, familiarity with large safety-net hospitals in the region, digital outreach and advocacy experience, and bilingual English/Spanish fluency. Candidates must reside in the Spokane area to support consistent in-person regional coverage.
