This is a unique joint-hire role split equally between the Nordic Carbon Removal Association (NCRA) and Klimate, two complementary organizations working at the intersection of climate policy and commercial carbon removal. You will work approximately 2.5 days per week at each organization, based in Copenhagen with regular travel to Brussels and across the Nordic region. The NCRA is the voice of the Nordic carbon dioxide removal sector, driving demand for and supply of high-quality carbon removal while fostering a competitive Nordic CDR industry. Klimate is a science-led company founded in 2020 that helps companies pursue credible climate action by providing expertise, guidance, and software for understanding and investing in carbon removal solutions. Key Responsibilities: Events: Take practical and strategic ownership of both organizations' event programs. Design event formats with clear objectives, identify and invite participants, manage all logistics (venue, catering, materials), produce event materials including programs and briefing notes, and develop communications plans for each event. Events range from intimate closed-door roundtables with EU Member States to annual assemblies and public conferences. Identify high-value external events for representation and occasionally represent both organizations at select events. Membership and Business Development: Identify and approach prospective NCRA members and Klimate clients across Nordic corporates, project developers, financial institutions, and enabling organizations. Manage the full outreach process from initial contact through conversion, including preparing materials, following up on leads, and maintaining a structured prospect pipeline. Support relationship management with existing members and clients, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement. Represent both organizations at external events and networking occasions to build relationships that translate into new members and clients. Communications and Social Media: Own the NCRA's LinkedIn presence and draft posts on policy developments, events, and member news. Support production of monthly newsletters, press releases, and external communications. Maintain and develop the NCRA website. Contribute to and own elements of Klimate's LinkedIn presence and draft posts on policy, events, client case studies, and relevant news. Support production of newsletters, client announcements, reports, white papers, and other communications. Communications is a supporting function but clear writing is essential. You will report functionally to the NCRA Secretary General for NCRA work and to the relevant manager at Klimate for Klimate work, with regular joint check-ins for alignment. Requirements: - At least two years of experience combining at least two of: events management, membership or business development, communications - Demonstrable track record of organizing events with a strategic dimension, ideally in policy, membership, or advocacy contexts - Experience in outreach and relationship-building with senior stakeholders (sales, membership, or partnership development) - Experience working with or for a membership organization, trade association, think tank, NGO, or policy-facing institution is a strong advantage - Background in communications, political science, business, environmental studies, or related field - Fluency in English required; Scandinavian language skills a strong advantage - Prior knowledge of carbon removal, carbon markets, or climate technology is a plus but not required - Profile: Energetic, organized, genuinely enjoy meeting people and making things happen.
