Ascendis Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to join its Group Legal team at headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark. The company develops innovative therapies using its TransCon® technology platform, with research facilities in Heidelberg and offices across Europe and the United States.
You will report directly to the Head of Commercial Legal and work within a 12-person legal team. Your primary responsibilities include reviewing and drafting various contract types, supporting sales and distribution arrangements, managing logistics agreements, and providing legal advice on commercial matters. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Product Supply, Finance, Tax, Compliance, and Regulatory departments, as well as external partners and advisors.
The role requires a Master of Laws or Business Law degree and at least 3 years of experience in commercial law and contract drafting within the life sciences sector. Experience with distribution matters and competition law is valued but not required. You should be analytical, entrepreneurial, and thrive in a fast-paced, informal environment where innovation and change are central. Strong teamwork and a can-do attitude are essential.
The position is based full-time at Tuborg Boulevard 12, Hellerup, with minimal travel (0-15 days annually). This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing biopharmaceutical organization committed to developing therapies that address unmet medical needs.
