Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion shoppers. As a Commercial Data Scientist, you will be the primary operator of the Growth Prediction Engine, owning and evolving the ML models that underpin commercial strategy. You will work closely with Strategic Finance and Revenue Operations in a shared-delivery model with the wider Data Science team. Key responsibilities include: - Owning, maintaining, and continuously enhancing ML-driven revenue growth models, pushing them to the next level and expanding use cases beyond the commercial domain - Partnering with Strategic Finance to build robust projections and simulations based on forecast model outputs, with a focus on scalable, automated tools rather than ad-hoc reporting - Working with Revenue Operations to identify, unlock, and deploy high-impact commercial data science applications that increase data quality and utilization - Leading by example within your team and the broader data community by applying best practices in analytics and machine learning from data collection through deployment and analysis You should have strong proficiency in SQL and Python with experience building and maintaining predictive models. Prior experience as a Data Scientist in a commercial setup, delivering predictive or time-series models for sales/demand forecasting is essential. You'll need to work effectively with cross-functional partners (Finance, Product, Ops) to deliver actionable insights and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in commercial, fintech, or high-growth environments is preferred. Checkout.com operates a hybrid model with three days per week in the London office to support collaboration.
