Rogo is an AI-powered analytics platform transforming global finance by serving top investment banks, private equity funds, and investment firms. The company has achieved strong product-market fit with world-class investors backing rapid scaling. As Commercial Counsel for EMEA, you will partner with the Head of Legal to build and scale Rogo's contracting function. This is a high-impact individual contributor role requiring business acumen, legal expertise, and entrepreneurial drive. Key responsibilities include: - Advising stakeholders on legal issues and commercial concepts - Leading end-to-end negotiations of high-value Master Service Agreements and commercial agreements with major financial institutions - Owning negotiations with data and content providers, including data-licensing and partnership agreements - Partnering closely with Sales, Product, Security, and Operations teams to structure business-aligned agreements and translate complex legal concepts into actionable guidance - Implementing and managing Rogo's commercial contracting infrastructure: operationalizing legal tech tools, designing negotiation templates, playbooks, and approval workflows - Supporting the Head of Legal on strategic initiatives Required qualifications: - Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction - JD from a top law school with 3–6 years of legal experience - Strong preference for top-tier law firm training in technology transactions, IP, or emerging companies practice, or in-house experience at high-growth SaaS, data, or AI companies - Demonstrated experience owning and closing commercial agreements independently - Strong working knowledge of IP licensing, privacy, data-use rights, and AI - Prior experience implementing and managing legal tech tools - Genuine interest in new technologies, software, and finance - Sound commercial judgment and comfort in fast-moving startup environments Ideal candidate is ambitious, curious, autonomous, collaborative, and thrives in high-intensity environments. You'll own real surface area and work alongside top talent in AI and finance on one of the most consequential problems in the industry.
