Strava is seeking a Commercial Counsel to provide strategic legal support across the organization. You'll report to the Deputy General Counsel, Corporate and Commercial, and work in a lean, high-impact in-house legal function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day commercial legal support to Strava for Business, including negotiation of sponsored challenge agreements
- Cross-functional support on vendor, partnership, consulting, data protection, API, and licensing agreements
- Development and maintenance of legal enablement materials including playbooks, FAQs, training, and self-service resources
You'll work with stakeholders across all departments, external partners, community members, and vendors. The role requires meticulous legal drafting, strong negotiation skills, and excellent project management.
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of commercial negotiations and contract drafting experience
- Mix of top law firm and in-house experience at a multinational, consumer-facing technology company
- Ability to develop innovative, practical solutions to complex contracting challenges
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to balance risk tolerance and business objectives
- Talent for translating complex legal concepts into actionable guidance
- Influence across organizational levels
