The Legal Team at Mural is a collaborative, trusted partner working cross-functionally across the company with a culture of pragmatism, curiosity, and partnership. You will report directly to the General Counsel and apply your contract drafting, negotiation, and legal expertise to support the go-to-market and product teams. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements such as SaaS subscription agreements, MSAs, SOWs, RFPs, and NDAs. You'll serve as the primary legal point of contact for the Sales team, partnering with Account Executives and sales leadership throughout the deal cycle to structure terms, manage risk, and close deals efficiently. You'll collaborate with Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, and Finance on pricing, discounting, and revenue-sensitive deal terms. You'll advise on data privacy and security terms in customer agreements, working with Privacy and Security teams as needed. You'll own and continuously refine contract templates, fallback positions, and negotiation playbooks to improve consistency, reduce turnaround time, and enable the sales team to self-serve on standard terms. You'll negotiate and manage partner, reseller, and vendor/procurement agreements in support of GTM and business operations. Additional responsibilities include supporting contract renewals, upsells, and amendments; fielding post-signature questions on contract interpretation from Customer Success and Account Management; and identifying ways to streamline and scale the contracting process, including AI-assisted contract drafting and review. You'll bring 4+ years of experience negotiating and structuring commercial agreements with a focus on SaaS/technology transactions (in-house and/or law firm experience). You hold a JD from an accredited law school and maintain active membership in at least one U.S. state Bar in good standing. You have developed knowledge of core SaaS commercial concepts and working knowledge of data privacy frameworks. You demonstrate strong business judgment and comfort making pragmatic, risk-adjusted decisions independently and under time pressure. You're an excellent communicator who can translate legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders and build trusted relationships with Sales and GTM partners. You're comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and high volume of concurrent matters. Experience with AI-assisted contracting tools is valued.
