Antithesis is seeking a Commercial Counsel to lead transactional legal work and serve as a key legal partner as the company scales. The role focuses on negotiating and advising on customer and revenue-related transactions, managing commercial risk, and building scalable legal processes.
You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including SaaS agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts. You'll advise internal teams on contract structure, commercial terms, risk allocation, and negotiation strategy, partnering closely with sales, finance, product, security, and leadership on large transactions and customer-facing legal issues.
Key responsibilities include creating and refining contract templates, playbooks, approval paths, and internal policies that improve consistency and speed; supporting escalations on high-impact deals; spotting trends in negotiation friction and recommending process improvements; and providing business-focused legal advice that enables thoughtful decision-making across the company. You'll also conduct training for internal business partners.
The ideal candidate has a J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with 5-8 years of technology-focused contracting in law firm or in-house roles and at least 3+ years supporting sales teams. You should have significant experience handling commercial transactions, ideally with a mix of customer-facing SaaS agreements and vendor-side contracting. Strong deal ownership, client-focused attitude, excellent judgment, and the ability to balance risk and opportunity in a fast-moving environment are essential. You'll work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.
Antithesis builds a deterministic simulation platform that finds bugs other testing approaches miss, helping engineering teams debug faster and ship with confidence.
