Stacks is an AI-native platform reinventing how modern finance teams run the monthly close. The company has grown from 2 to 30+ people in two years, raised $23M Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and is trusted by leading European scale-ups including Pleo, Freetrade, and Motorway. The founding team includes finance, product, and technical experts from Uber, Plaid, Miro, Mollie, and Bunq.
You will join as one of the initial GTM hires in a high-impact Commercial Associate / Business Development Representative role. This is a foundational position with a clear 8–12 month trajectory into an Account Executive role.
Key responsibilities:
- Own outbound prospecting and pipeline generation into Mid-Market and Enterprise companies across the UK
- Run multi-channel outbound campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn, writing, testing, and iterating constantly
- Conduct sharp, insight-led discovery and qualification conversations with finance leaders
- Develop deep product mastery of the close process—debits, credits, reconciliations, and the pain of extended close cycles
- Partner cross-functionally with the Sales team to shape messaging and build repeatable outbound motion
- Execute on a clear growth path to Account Executive
You'll work directly with founders and a small, high-agency team in a modern, design-led London HQ (Fora) with gym access and collaborative workspace. The role offers meaningful equity in a company scaling toward $10M ARR, exposure to cutting-edge AI and finance technology, and a high-calibre team culture with regular socials and off-sites.
Longer-term, the BDR seat is positioned as a launchpad. Depending on performance and interest, you could progress into Account Executive (owning and closing enterprise deals), Solutions Engineer (technical discovery and demos), BD Lead (hiring and coaching future BDRs), or Product (shaping what the company builds based on front-line insights).
The hiring process includes five steps: 30-minute screening call, 45-minute conversation with BDR Lead, take-home and 45-minute role-play interview, 30-minute conversation with COO, and offer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–3 years in a top-tier environment such as MBB (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), VC, PE, or early-stage companies
- Analytical horsepower: think in frameworks, get to the "so what" quickly, break down a prospect's business in a first call
- Commercial instinct: motivated by tangible, measurable outcomes and revenue impact
- Hunger and grit: competitive, coachable, comfortable with cold calling
- Clear communicator: concise, direct, and persuasive in writing, speech, and phone conversations
