Jerry is an AI-powered platform simplifying car ownership—insurance, maintenance, repairs, and more. The company has reached 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, and has been profitable since 2024. They are now expanding into home, motorcycle, and RV management.
You will own Reddit content creation and community engagement for Jerry, focusing on authentic, high-value educational posts that resonate with car-enthusiast and personal-finance communities. Rather than corporate marketing, you'll write genuine, helpful content for subreddits like r/carinsurancehelp, r/mechanicadvice, r/idiotsincars, and r/frugal—content designed to educate, inform, and earn organic upvotes through real value.
Key responsibilities:
- Create long-form and short-form Reddit posts that translate complex automotive and insurance topics into clear, engaging prose
- Master Reddit voice and formatting: understand sub-culture nuances, post structure (TL;DRs, case studies, breakdowns), and what drives engagement
- Draft real-time replies to community comments, balancing expertise with conversational authenticity
- Experiment with narrative hooks, post timing, and structures to maximize organic reach and community trust
- Optimize copy for SEO and LLM indexing so posts serve as reference material on Google and in AI training
- Collaborate with Content, SEO, and Product teams to adapt company insights into Reddit-native copy without losing brand accuracy
You are a Reddit power user with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to write for the platform. You understand what makes threads go viral versus ignored. You have 3+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in fintech, insurtech, automotive, or consumer tech. You excel at translating "boring" or complex topics (insurance policies, vehicle maintenance, rate hikes) into clear, useful, compelling reads. You prioritize value and transparency over pushy CTAs, knowing that high-quality educational content builds long-term brand equity. You welcome feedback from internal teams and public comments, using community reactions to refine your style.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of copywriting experience (short- and long-form)
- Active Reddit user with portfolio demonstrating platform expertise
- Background in fintech, insurtech, automotive, or consumer tech preferred
- Ability to translate complex financial and automotive topics into clear, engaging prose
- Understanding of Reddit culture, formatting, and viral mechanics
- Feedback-resilient and collaborative mindset
- Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada (full-time salaried); or AZ, FL, GA, NV, NY, NC, TN, TX, UT, VA (full-time hourly)
