Salary: GBP 77,500 - 96,900 / annual

Planet is seeking a strategic Industry Marketing Manager to drive growth in the Defense and Intelligence sector across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will work closely with the global Defense and Intelligence business group to develop demand for AI-powered satellite imaging solutions among government audiences. In this role, you will own the regional defense and intelligence narrative for EMEA, serving as a go-to resource for cross-functional teams including sales, product, and executive leadership. You'll develop deep customer insights, craft compelling messaging that resonates with military and defense audiences, and produce a portfolio of marketing assets including presentations, datasheets, demos, and battlecards. Key responsibilities include: - Growing market awareness for AI-powered solutions that detect threats across military sites, commercial infrastructure, and open water - Supporting new go-to-market initiatives including product launches, solution development, and partnerships - Developing positioning and messaging tailored to intelligence and defense audiences - Creating and maintaining industry-specific marketing assets and sales enablement tools - Partnering with account-based marketers on account-specific campaigns to support pipeline growth - Collaborating with product and pre-sales engineering teams to build interactive demos and narratives for proposals, industry events, and executive meetings - Presenting internally and externally to senior military leaders and stakeholders You'll work from Planet's London office 3 days per week in a hybrid arrangement. Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history, delivering empirical Earth observation data via a cloud-based platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years of experience in Product, Solutions, or Industry Marketing - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Direct experience working within the intelligence or defense sector - Track record positioning and marketing B2G/enterprise products - Exceptional listening and influence skills - Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills - Creative and analytical thinking; ability to synthesize information - Excellent attention to detail - Experience partnering with product, sales, and executive stakeholders - Excellent organizational skills; self-starter with cross-departmental collaboration ability PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience working with international sales teams - Active, current, or previously held security clearance NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled information and employment is contingent upon the candidate's ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing.
