Carmoola is a fast-growing fintech revolutionizing car finance with a digital-first, customer-centric approach. Having raised over £560m and served 25,000+ customers, the company is scaling its Collections function and seeking an analytical, commercially-minded Collections Analyst to drive data-informed strategy. In this role, you'll own the analytical backbone of the Collections team. You'll analyze collections performance metrics including arrears, roll rates, cure rates, payment arrangements, and recoveries, translating raw data into actionable insights that shape collections strategy. Your work will directly influence how Carmoola supports customers who fall behind on payments, balancing fair customer outcomes with portfolio performance. Key responsibilities include: building and maintaining collections reporting dashboards; identifying data-driven opportunities to improve customer outcomes and recovery rates; designing and evaluating experiments across contact strategies, segmentation, and treatment paths; forecasting arrears and losses; and modeling the impact of proposed operational changes. You'll partner closely with Collections, Operations, Finance, and Risk teams to implement recommendations. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring all strategies align with FCA CONC guidance, Consumer Duty requirements, and fair treatment principles—particularly for vulnerable customers. You'll leverage Carmoola's embedded AI tools to accelerate analysis, surface patterns, and generate recommendations faster. This is not a customer-facing role; you'll be the analytical brain of the team, turning complex data into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate is comfortable with SQL, spreadsheets, and ideally BI tools; has genuine curiosity about lending, arrears, and customer behavior; and demonstrates strong commercial judgment connecting analysis to real business decisions. Direct collections experience is a bonus but not required. You'll work hybrid (minimum 2 days/week in London office in Primrose Hill) with flexibility to work remotely up to 15 days annually.
