Daybreak Health partners with school districts to expand access to mental health care for students. The company addresses a critical gap: the recommended ratio is one school psychologist per 500 students, but the national reality is closer to one per 1,200, creating months-long wait times and overwhelming caseloads. Daybreak matches every student to a clinician based on language, culture, identity, and clinical needs, typically starting care within one to two weeks at no cost to families. The company has demonstrated strong outcomes: 81% of students improve on standardized clinical measures, 92% of families report meaningful behavioral change at home, and 80% of school staff observe better attendance, grades, and behavior. Backed by Union Square Ventures, Lux Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Maven Ventures, and Y Combinator, Daybreak already serves districts representing over one million students. In this role, you will own the full recruiting cycle for licensed therapists, counselors, and social workers who deliver care to young people. This is a high-volume, relationship-driven position. Mental health clinicians are in high demand, requiring you to move fast, communicate clearly, and keep candidates engaged from first contact through offer. You will work closely with clinical leadership to understand hiring needs and ensure every open position is filled with someone who is a strong clinical and cultural fit. Key responsibilities include actively sourcing and engaging licensed clinicians through job boards, outreach, and referrals; building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates across multiple states; conducting video screens to assess licensure, experience, and fit; coordinating and supporting the interview process with clinical leadership; partnering with credentialing and onboarding teams to support new hires; maintaining accurate candidate records and pipeline stages in the ATS; writing and maintaining compelling job postings; and tracking and reporting on recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and pipeline health. The ideal candidate moves fast in a competitive talent market, is organized enough to juggle multiple open roles and candidates simultaneously, communicates clearly with both candidates and hiring managers, demonstrates empathy when working with clinician candidates, remains resilient through high-volume recruiting cycles, pays close attention to licensure and credentialing details, and is genuinely curious about behavioral health and mission-driven work. Requirements: Must-haves: - 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, or another licensed or credentialed field - Experience managing a full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing to offer - Comfort working with high candidate volume across multiple open roles - Experience using an ATS to track candidates and pipeline stages Nice-to-haves: - Familiarity with clinical licensure requirements (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) across multiple states - Experience recruiting at a startup or fast-growth company - Background or interest in mental health, especially youth mental health
