Salary: USD 90,000 - 100,000 / annual
Talkiatry, a national mental health practice founded by a patient and triple-board-certified psychiatrist, is seeking a Clinical Lead, Therapy to join their growing team. The company's mission is to transform psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care, addressing the gap where 60% of U.S. adults with diagnosable mental illness go untreated due to inaccessibility.
In this role, you will serve as the primary people manager and clinical leader for a cohort of therapists, splitting your time between clinical leadership responsibilities and a reduced direct patient caseload. You'll provide ongoing 1:1 coaching, feedback, goal setting, and professional development while cultivating a high-performing team culture. Working in a dyad with your General Manager and in partnership with the National Director of Psychotherapy and Chief Clinical Officer, you will maintain and elevate the quality of care your team provides.
Key responsibilities include: managing the full performance lifecycle (coaching, development planning, reviews, and performance management); collaborating with clinical and operational leadership on therapy department development and growth; leading department and company-wide quality improvement initiatives; actively participating in therapist recruitment and hiring; providing clinical consultation on treatment planning, complex cases, and level of care decisions; ensuring clinical quality and compliance through documentation review and chart audits; supporting clinical and safety escalations; and driving therapist engagement and retention through proactive support and early intervention.
You'll work with Care Integrity to address patient concerns, mentor direct reports on utilization and schedule optimization, and serve as a clinical resource for your team. The role requires continuous adaptation in a fast-paced, evolving practice environment, with occasional travel as needed.
Talkiatry's clinical community includes 700+ psychiatrists and PMHNPs and 300+ therapists practicing across 32 languages.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Full-time availability in Pacific Time Zone
- Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive management experience in mental health
- Demonstrated 2+ years experience in leadership roles supporting large teams
- Active, independent licenses as a clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, or counselor in at least 2 western states, with ability to obtain additional state licenses
- Occasional travel as needed
