Slide Insurance seeks an experienced Claims Corporate Representative to serve as the company's trusted representative in legal proceedings and drive effective resolution of litigated property claims. This role combines litigation representation, claims oversight, and strategic partnership with defense counsel and internal leadership.
Key responsibilities include representing Slide as corporate representative in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, pre-trials, and trials; defending, negotiating, and settling litigated claims; signing interrogatory responses on behalf of the company; and working closely with defense counsel, litigation examiners, and leadership on claim strategy.
You will monitor assigned lawsuits and oversee timely disposition of litigated claims, conduct coverage analysis based on policy language, facts, and allegations, and review records and documentation to verify property damage and claim exposure. The role requires identifying risks, developing resolution strategies, and negotiating successful outcomes.
Additional duties include documenting all relevant activity in the claims management system, maintaining effective diary management to ensure deadlines are met, and communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders throughout the claim lifecycle.
Required qualifications: Active Florida 6-20 Insurance License, 5+ years of first-party property claims adjusting experience, and 3+ years serving as a Corporate Representative (P&C preferred). Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure, evidence rules, and P&C litigation is essential. Expertise in homeowners' policies, coverage analysis, and litigation strategy required. Candidates must demonstrate proven negotiation, investigation, and problem-solving skills, ability to testify confidently in legal proceedings, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and high organizational ability in fast-paced environments required. Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
