Knit is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and operations as the company scales through Series C and beyond. This is a C-level role reporting to the CEO with full ownership of the finance function and a seat at the leadership table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial planning and analysis: Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards that drive business decisions. Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and own the financial narrative for the business.
- Fundraising and investor relations: Lead capital raises (equity and debt), manage board reporting and investor communications, and own the numbers in front of the board and external stakeholders.
- Operations and systems: Build scalable financial processes, systems, and controls. Establish repeatable workflows and ensure financial rigor across the organization.
- Business partnership: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to frame financial trade-offs, evaluate strategic initiatives, and guide resource allocation decisions.
- Capital strategy: Partner with the CEO, board, and external partners on long-term capital strategy and investor relationships.
What You Bring:
- Scaling experience: You have been a senior finance leader at high-growth B2B companies from Series B through Series D, IPO, or exit. Alternatively, you are a rising star who has done the work and is ready for the top seat.
- Strategic finance and FP&A depth: You build models and forecasts yourself, can walk through financial levers, and turn analysis into actionable decisions.
- Business judgment: You ask "is this the best use of our money?" and can frame trade-offs between capital deployment and business outcomes.
- Fundraising and board experience: You have raised both equity and debt, and are comfortable presenting and defending financial projections to boards and investors.
- Operational discipline: You build systems and repeatable processes, communicate proactively, and drive alignment and quality decision-making.
- Clear communication: You translate complex financial data and revenue models into simple narratives and decision frameworks that the entire team can understand and act on.
- Collaboration: You balance conservative and aggressive approaches as needed, are approachable, and serve as a trusted partner to leadership and the board.
Why This Role:
- High ownership of financial strategy and business building
- Leadership team that values finance as a strategic partner
- Fast-paced, rigorous decision-making culture
- Defining moment: joining ahead of Series C to shape the next growth phase
