Revolut is seeking an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to lead the Compliance and Financial Crime functions for Revolut Trading Ltd, a regulated entity within the global fintech platform. This is a Senior Management Function (SMF 16) role reporting directly to senior leadership.
You will serve as the primary regulatory interface with the FCA and other global regulators, overseeing the firm's compliance framework, governance structures, and risk management processes. Your responsibilities include leading the Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams; developing and executing comprehensive compliance monitoring plans; and ensuring adherence to FCA Principles, Consumer Duty, and Conduct Rules across the organization.
Key accountabilities include maintaining governance frameworks with appropriate oversight and escalation mechanisms, collaborating with Revolut's global compliance function to align local risk management frameworks, and providing strategic direction on cross-border booking models and multi-asset regulatory requirements. You will work with diverse financial instruments serving retail, business, and eligible counterparties across multiple jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of financial crime and regulatory compliance experience, with previous SMF 16 or equivalent leadership experience overseeing compliance and risk functions. You should have demonstrated experience working with the FCA, PRA, ECB, JST, FED, OCC, or SEC. Strong expertise in multi-jurisdictional, multi-asset regulated organizations serving cross-border clients is essential. Experience in fintech, digital banking, or wealth management is highly valued.
You will be expected to build data-driven solutions to streamline compliance processes, identify financial crime vulnerabilities, and advise on best practices. This role requires the ability to balance regulatory rigor with operational efficiency in a fast-moving digital environment.
