OpenLoop is a telehealth platform enabling virtual care delivery across all 50 states. As Chief Compliance Officer, you will define and own the enterprise compliance strategy and operating model, building a risk-based program covering clinical, pharmacy, privacy, security, and commercial activities.
You will lead the Compliance organization (Healthcare, Pharmacy, Privacy, Audit), establishing vision, staffing plans, budgets, and success metrics. You'll create and maintain a comprehensive policy library mapped to regulatory obligations including HIPAA/HITECH, state privacy laws, state practice of medicine rules, telehealth/telepharmacy regulations, CLIA, and FDA/FTC/DEA requirements.
Key responsibilities include establishing continuous monitoring and internal audit workflows, embedding compliance into product development and market entry decisions, coordinating incident response and breach management, overseeing third-party vendor and prescriber due diligence, and delivering role-based training to cultivate a strong compliance culture. You'll serve as the primary regulatory contact, proactively monitor regulatory changes, and provide board-level governance updates.
You bring 10-15+ years of experience building and leading compliance programs in technology-forward, multi-state healthcare or pharmacy environments (digital health, telehealth, virtual care, healthtech). You have a proven track record hiring and mentoring high-performing teams, with demonstrated ability to prioritize ruthlessly, communicate tradeoffs, and influence across Legal, Product, Security, and Clinical functions. You combine executive presence with a builder's mindset, systems thinking, operational rigor, and data-informed decision-making. You thrive in ambiguity, maintain high integrity, and collaborate with low ego.
