Lindblad Expeditions, a pioneer in expedition travel since 1966, is seeking a Charter Account Manager to manage end-to-end full-ship charter partnerships. The company operates a fleet of 20 ships serving approximately 30,000 guests annually to remote and pristine locations worldwide, in partnership with National Geographic. In this role, you will serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of charter clients, overseeing all aspects of charter execution from contract implementation through onboard delivery. Key responsibilities include: • Cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships with charter partners • Serving as the primary point of contact for charter inquiries and requests, responding in a timely and solution-oriented manner • Managing implementation of charter party agreements, including negotiating terms with clients and internal stakeholders • Coordinating with operating units to address customization requests while ensuring compliance with charter agreements • Leading internal meetings with senior executives to discuss planning and resolve issues • Escorting full-ship charters as corporate representative, acting as liaison and negotiator between charterer and ship management • Preparing charter onboard memos in collaboration with operations colleagues, vessels, and charterers • Assisting the Charter Sales Director with proposals and contractual agreements You will work closely with shipboard teams, internal stakeholders, and senior leaders to deliver exceptional experiences, resolve complex client needs, and build long-term partnerships that drive repeat business. The position is based in the New York office with a hybrid schedule: Tuesday–Thursday in-office, with flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday. Approximately 40% travel domestically and internationally is required. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree preferred • 5+ years of relevant experience in maritime or cruise industry, including shoreside and/or shipboard operations; experience in both environments strongly preferred • Experience supporting charter operations, account management, or group/incentive travel highly desirable • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships and coordinate high-touch programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; ability to build internal consensus and develop solutions balancing client expectations, contractual commitments, and operational requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confidence interacting with clients, senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders • Ability to independently represent Lindblad Expeditions with clients and partners in business and social settings • Proactive, collaborative, solutions-oriented approach; ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team • Ability to travel approximately 40% domestically and internationally • Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of New York office
