Join Signifyd's Chargeback Investigations team as a Data Analyst, where you'll serve as a financial driver and data integrity gatekeeper. You'll leverage data analysis to uncover insights, optimize dispute strategies, and minimize financial losses while mitigating fraud and chargeback risks for merchants processing billions of transactions annually across 100+ countries. Key responsibilities include working independently and collaboratively to achieve departmental goals, gathering feedback for new products and features, and enhancing operational workflows through process improvements and automation identification. You'll oversee quality assurance on new features, support product teams through launch stages, and develop metrics and projections on large datasets to extract trends, measure outcomes, and predict future performance. You'll turn data insights into compelling business cases and recommendations that drive action and support strategic decisions. Build analytical tools and dashboards to quantify the impact of chargeback initiatives and identify improvement opportunities. Develop deep understanding of how existing metrics are calculated, ensuring source data reliability and measuring effectiveness at combating integrity issues. Collaborate with data science, BI, and product teams to prioritize issue resolution and establish accountability. Partner with engineering, product, and merchant teams to identify and fix root-cause vulnerabilities generating avoidable chargebacks. Required: fluency in English and Portuguese (written and verbal); minimum 2 years in chargeback analysis, fraud prevention, or payment operations in LatAm, EMEA, or North America; proven data analysis capabilities using quantitative data to identify trends and optimize dispute win rates; hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, and Looker; experience with payment processors across major regions; in-depth knowledge of card network regulations (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) regarding chargeback cycles and dispute rights; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; professional adaptability with strict adherence to security and privacy policies; discretion handling sensitive data; excellent time management and organizational skills; collaborative team player with proactive attitude. Highly desired: customer service experience with direct merchant/customer interaction; merchant onboarding and account configuration support; experience with payment platforms (Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Braintree); transaction log and chargeback documentation analysis; proven track record improving chargeback outcomes.
