Distro is seeking an experienced PEO sales professional to drive new business through a balanced combination of channel partner development and direct new-business hunting. This is a true new-logo sales role with no existing book of business and no account-management responsibilities.
The role is split 50/50 between two core functions:
**Channel Partner Development (50%):** Build and maintain relationships with brokers, referral sources, centers of influence, and strategic partners. Identify high-value referral partners capable of generating qualified PEO/HCM opportunities. Develop mutually beneficial relationships that create a consistent flow of new business. Educate partners on the company's PEO, HCM, payroll, benefits, HR, and compliance solutions. Conduct regular partner outreach, meetings, and networking to strengthen relationships with business owners, executives, brokers, and advisors.
**Direct New Business Development (50%):** Prospect directly for new business within assigned markets and territories. Identify, qualify, and develop new-logo opportunities through proactive outreach. Conduct discovery meetings with business owners, Presidents, CEOs, CFOs, and HR leaders. Understand business challenges related to payroll, HR, employee benefits, compliance, and workforce management. Present consultative PEO/HCM solutions tailored to prospect needs. Develop proposals and business cases that communicate value. Negotiate pricing, scope, and service terms. Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close. Consistently achieve assigned sales quotas and maintain accurate pipeline activity in CRM.
You will be expected to build new relationships, develop referral partners, generate opportunities, hunt for new logos, conduct executive-level discovery, present solutions, negotiate, close new business, and build a productive channel network.
**Requirements:**
- Demonstrated professional experience selling PEO solutions with strong understanding of the PEO sales process and competitive landscape
- Experience selling to small and mid-sized businesses
- Proven experience acquiring new logos with comfort in proactive prospecting and creating opportunities rather than relying on inbound leads
- Demonstrated ability to manage a sales cycle from initial prospecting through close
- Demonstrated experience developing referral sources, channel partners, brokers, centers of influence, or strategic business relationships
- Ability to build a network that consistently produces qualified opportunities
- History of sales success demonstrable through consistent quota attainment, 100%+ quota achievement, Presidents Club / Chairman's Club recognition, top-performer recognition, sales awards, or other measurable accomplishments
- Established professional network within your market or industry with strong relationship-building capabilities
- Comfortable engaging with CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, HR executives, and other senior decision makers
- Strong sales EQ, interpersonal awareness, consultative selling, and discovery skills
- Professional, credible, and confident presentation style
- Demonstrated stable employment history with consistent progression and performance
