As Channel Account Manager for the Central US region (Midwest and South Central markets), you will own the regional channel strategy and be accountable for converting partner relationships into qualified pipeline and bookings. This role is ideal for a cybersecurity channel leader with deep knowledge of the Central partner ecosystem who is comfortable with both strategic planning and deal execution in an early-stage environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and executing the Central US channel strategy, prioritizing investment on partners most likely to generate revenue
- Recruiting, activating, and growing strategic resellers, advisory firms, service providers, and technology partners
- Creating joint account plans, mapping target accounts, and generating pipeline sourced or influenced by partners
- Enabling partners on Cogent's value proposition and collaborating with sales teams through registration, evaluation, and close
- Tracking pipeline, bookings, partner productivity, and program ROI to refine the regional strategy
The role is remote within the Central US with a preference for Chicago or Dallas, and requires willingness to travel and operate hands-on.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in channel, alliances, or partner development, including 5+ years in cybersecurity
- Strong network across the Central US cybersecurity partner ecosystem with a proven track record of converting relationships into revenue
- Experience building focused partner plans, enabling sellers, and selling complex enterprise security solutions alongside partners
- Strong commercial judgment, operating discipline, and comfort owning pipeline and bookings targets
- High-growth or challenger company experience with willingness to travel and operate hands-on
