Rohlik is seeking a Category Manager for Wine & Alcohol to own the commercial performance of this high-growth category. This is a hands-on role where you will directly drive category revenue, margins, and customer proposition. Key Responsibilities: - Own category performance: Deliver on sales, margin, and profitability targets across assigned Alcohol & Wine categories. - Drive supplier management: Lead commercial negotiations, annual reviews, and Joint Business Planning with major FMCG and specialized alcohol suppliers to secure best terms, innovations, and growth opportunities. - Optimize assortment & pricing: Continuously evaluate product mix, pricing structures, and promotions to maintain competitive and profitable customer offering. - Launch & innovate: Drive end-to-end commercial evaluation and market launch for new products, seasonal activations, and brand expansions. - Analyze & act: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and internal data to translate sales insights into concrete commercial actions. - Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Marketing on promotional campaigns and partner with Supply Chain to optimize inventory and minimize out-of-stocks. You will work closely with the Senior Category Manager in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with minimal corporate bureaucracy. The role offers direct negotiation power with major suppliers and the autonomy to execute strategies supported by data. Requirements: - 2–3 years of experience in Category Management, Buying, or Commercial Purchasing specifically within the Alcohol & Wine market. - Proven negotiation track record managing supplier relationships and driving commercial negotiations with major FMCG or beverage suppliers. - Strong commercial acumen: deep understanding of margin optimization, pricing tactics, promotional strategy, and product life-cycle management. - Analytical mindset with ability to navigate category data, draw clear conclusions, and make decisive, revenue-generating moves. - Advanced English and fluent Hungarian. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable: - Established network within local and international Alcohol & Wine supplier community. - Practical knowledge across diverse segments (premium spirits, craft beers, private-label, mainstream wines). - Previous experience in e-commerce or fast-paced retail environments.
