StockX is seeking a Category Manager for Apparel to own the end-to-end growth of apparel within a new, high-priority commerce initiative on their marketplace platform. This is a single-threaded ownership role where you will serve as the in-house expert on fashion and apparel culture, economics, and market dynamics, translating that expertise into supply growth, engagement, and GMV.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the apparel category growth strategy, establishing quarterly goals and operating rhythms, and owning category-level performance across supply, engagement, and revenue. You will maintain deep knowledge of the apparel ecosystem—including key sellers, creators, designers, brands, sub-segments (streetwear, luxury, vintage, etc.), seasonal drops, pricing dynamics, and resale economics. You'll serve as the internal voice of the apparel community, informing product, marketing, and platform decisions.
You will build and own a pipeline of high-impact apparel sellers, shops, designers, influencers, and creators, personally recruiting and onboarding flagship sellers. You'll develop seller strategies that balance credibility, storytelling, and commerce, and identify and orchestrate fashion-specific moments, campaigns, and formats that drive engagement and conversion.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential: you'll work with Account and Partnerships Managers on seller acquisition, collaborate with Product and Engineering on features and tools, and provide actionable market insights to influence roadmap prioritization. You'll also document learnings and frameworks that can be reused across future categories, helping define what great category ownership looks like at StockX.
The role blends deep cultural fluency, strategic ownership, and hands-on execution. Early on, you'll own everything related to apparel within this initiative. As the category scales, you'll grow into a leader overseeing a broader apparel portfolio and team.
