Kestra Medical, a cardiac medical device company founded in 2014, is seeking a Cash Application Manager to lead day-to-day operations of the cash application team in Kirkland, WA. This role manages a team of Cash Application Specialists responsible for timely and accurate posting of third-party (government, commercial, private payor) and patient payments into the A/R system, as well as resolution of payment posting issues, credit balances, refund requests, and related functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct management of cash application team members, including hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and professional development
- Scheduling work shifts to meet business needs
- Ensuring accurate data entry and payment processing within established guidelines
- Managing research, reconciliation, balancing, and error identification across the cash application function
- Analyzing cash flow data and identifying risks related to cash forecasts
- Collaborating with Accounting and Finance teams to support monthly close and financial audits
- Participating in leadership meetings to report on cash position, liquidity, and trends
- Developing and refining process flows to improve departmental efficiency
- Evaluating system processes and tools to drive automation and accuracy
- Creating reporting, KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to evaluate team performance
- Supporting patient, financial, and payor audits as needed
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 5+ years healthcare cash posting experience; minimum 3 years management experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred: 6+ years manager-level or above leadership experience.
The role requires in-office presence in an open office environment, with occasional extended hours and weekend work as needed. This is a regulated FDA environment requiring adherence to strict confidentiality and compliance standards.
