Base Power is rebuilding America's electricity infrastructure by deploying a distributed battery network to transform the centralized grid into a resilient, abundant system. The Capital Markets role sits within the finance team responsible for raising capital to finance Base's rapidly scaling asset deployment across debt, tax equity, and project equity structures. You will build financial models that shape Base's capital raising strategy, including debt sizing, tax equity waterfalls, unit economics, and project equity returns across live capital raises. You'll own the diligence process end-to-end—managing data rooms, coordinating with internal teams and external partners (lenders, tax equity investors, equity partners), and serving as the primary point of contact for investor questions. Beyond modeling, you'll help structure and negotiate real deal terms, designing capital stacks and managing risk allocation across debt, tax equity, and equity tranches. You'll build tools and infrastructure that enable a lean team to run multiple financing processes simultaneously without adding headcount. You'll maintain Base's brand in capital markets through polished materials, professionalism, and responsive communication that makes counterparties want to work with the company. You'll also contribute to capital strategy decisions—advising which financing structures to pursue, in what order, and how each new raise sets up the next. The Base finance and business operations team provides visibility on performance, finances growth, makes capital allocation decisions, and supports the broader organization. Success requires raising and deploying tens of billions of dollars while maintaining unit economics and operating leverage in a complex, fast-paced environment. Expected background: 2–4 years in investment banking, infrastructure investing, project finance, or tax equity with hands-on transaction experience. Distributed energy experience is a plus. You'll need sharp financial modeling skills, working knowledge of debt mechanics and tax equity structures, comfort reading financing and credit agreements, and the organizational discipline to manage multiple live deals simultaneously. Strong communication skills for institutional investors and leadership are essential.
