Palmetto is a leading clean tech company democratizing renewable energy through software, financial products, and services. The Capital Markets Associate will support capital raising, execution, and financial modeling for Palmetto Capital's rapidly growing financing division, which provides homeowners and solar professionals access to financing for solar, home efficiency, and energy storage solutions.
As an individual contributor reporting to the Director of Capital Markets, you will develop and execute Excel financial models supporting Tax Equity and Debt capital funding. You'll lead execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders including banks and financial partners. Key responsibilities include managing financial reporting for Palmetto Finance to key stakeholders, partnering with technology teams to automate reports, and enhancing existing processes and workflows for efficiency across Data Analytics, Operations, and other teams.
You will serve as a liaison between Capital Markets and Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting teams, ensuring partnership and transparency. The role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key banks and external partners while being highly attuned to customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of banking or capital markets experience, with strong preference for solar industry and structured finance background. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (Master's or MBA a plus), strong analytical and business acumen skills, and deep understanding of macroeconomic landscapes. You'll proactively identify improvement opportunities, thrive in fast-paced customer-centric environments where priorities shift quickly, and collaborate seamlessly across Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
