Moody's is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to serve as the trusted Product Owner for Revenue Accounting, leading the SAP S/4HANA Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) workstream. This role bridges finance and technology, owning solution delivery from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
You will lead global Revenue Accounting solutions that strengthen compliance and support Moody's finance transformation priorities. Key responsibilities include:
• Own the SAP S/4HANA RAR workstream end-to-end, driving solution decisions and ensuring progress from discovery through deployment
• Deliver implementations, enhancements, and production support across global business processes
• Lead workshops to shape requirements, challenge assumptions, raise risks and decisions, and align Finance, Technology, Operations, Sales, and delivery partners
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, functional designs, and scalable solutions
• Design and configure revenue recognition processes, including performance obligations, SSP allocation, contract changes, event-based processing, posting, reconciliation, and close activities
• Lead testing, defects, cutover, hypercare, and support; drive accountability for priorities, risks, dependencies, and decisions
• Manage the product backlog, turning strategic priorities into requirements, functional designs, and Jira epics
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Technology, and delivery stakeholders while managing priorities, risks, and dependencies
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, explaining complex business and technical concepts with clarity. The role requires strong facilitation skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and expertise in delivering scalable finance solutions using modern tools and methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Revenue Accounting and Reporting experience, including Classic and Optimized Contract Management
• Strong solution design expertise across revenue recognition, contract management, performance obligations, SSP allocation, contract modifications, posting, reconciliation, and month-end close
• Deep knowledge of IFRS 15, ASC 606, SOX controls, audit support, deferred revenue, and accrued revenue accounting
• Ability to shape requirements, manage multiple priorities, and deliver scalable finance solutions using Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, and Visio
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Strong understanding of integrations across revenue accounting, sales and distribution, financial accounting, general ledger, billing, CRM, and middleware platforms
• Experience using AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve documentation, testing, reporting, and finance process efficiency
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• SAP S/4HANA or SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting certification preferred
