Motive is seeking a Business Strategy & Operations Analyst II to serve as a strategic operational partner to the Sales and GTM leadership team. This is a hands-on role that owns the operational engine behind the sales organization, not a reporting-support seat.
You will own recurring business rhythms end-to-end, including weekly and quarterly business review cadences, data infrastructure, territory planning, and quota/KPI tracking. A key part of this role is identifying manual work and building automation to replace it—using AI agents, multi-system workflows, and scripted data pipelines—rather than just consuming existing tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running weekly and quarterly business reviews, reconciling numbers and surfacing insights that drive leadership decisions
- Building automation and workflows to eliminate manual work across sales operations
- Conducting analysis on pipeline, funnel, forecast, and productivity data to answer strategic questions with defensible recommendations
- Supporting territory planning, account assignment, and capacity decisions
- Owning quota, target, and KPI tracking with definitions that withstand executive scrutiny
- Partnering directly with sales leaders and cross-functional stakeholders (Systems, Data Quality, Enablement, SDR, Marketing, Finance)
- Protecting data integrity by building QA into deliverables and fixing root causes
You should have 2+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, business intelligence, or business strategy with real ownership of recurring reporting or analytics for a commercial team. SQL proficiency is mandatory—you must independently write and debug warehouse queries including joins, window functions, CTEs, and aggregation logic. This role suits someone who can take ambiguous business questions, structure them, pull data themselves, and return with a defensible recommendation.
