Alan is a prevention-focused health insurance company serving 1M+ members across 40K+ companies, with €800M+ ARR. The company integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a unified platform and is expanding across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. As a Business Segment Lead, you will own market leadership for a designated business segment, operating with distributed ownership and transversal influence across Product, Insurance, Sales, and Marketing teams. You will collaborate with peer segment leaders to share best practices and align on long-term value creation. Key responsibilities include: • Market Intelligence: Build deep expertise on market dynamics, competitive landscape, customer pain points, and segment sizing through quantitative and qualitative analysis. • Value Proposition & Pricing: Define differentiated product offerings and pricing strategies to establish segment leadership. • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute renewal (account management) and expansion (business development) strategies, including distribution channels, sub-segment focus, and partner management. • P&L Ownership: Own segment return on investment and build the business case for internal resource allocation. • Product Collaboration: Partner with product teams to ensure offerings align with market insights and customer needs. You will be hired into newly created segments with significant upside potential, where strategy and execution are being built from the ground up. Requirements: • Minimum 8 years of experience leading a business (product category, business segment, or equivalent) • Full working proficiency in French • Advanced English proficiency • Exceptional ability to establish transversal influence across functions • Strong data analysis skills to build 360-degree market views • Balanced business acumen with deep product thinking • Ability to articulate clear strategies amid complexity and uncertainty • Prior experience working with senior leadership • Generalist, self-starter mindset (not a single-industry specialist); adaptable and willing to support teammates in the field • Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona
