As a Business Segment Lead, you will drive market leadership within a designated business segment of the French market. This is a transversal leadership role requiring influence across Product, Insurance, Sales, and Marketing teams, as well as collaboration with peer segment leaders.
Key responsibilities include:
• Market Intelligence: Build deep expertise on market dynamics and competitive landscape through quantitative analysis (market sizing) and qualitative research (customer pain points and needs).
• Value Proposition & Pricing: Define differentiated product offerings and pricing strategies to establish segment leadership.
• Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute renewal (account management) and expansion (business development) strategies, including distribution channels, sub-segment focus, and partner management.
• P&L Ownership: Own segment return on investment and build the business case for internal resource allocation.
• Product Collaboration: Partner with product teams to ensure offerings align with market insights and customer needs.
You will be hired into a newly created segment with significant upside potential. The company plans to invest heavily in these new opportunities over the coming years.
Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of experience leading a business (product category, business segment, or equivalent)
• Full working proficiency in French
• Advanced English proficiency
• Exceptional ability to establish transversal influence across functions
• Strong data analysis skills to build comprehensive market views
• Business acumen combined with product thinking capability
• Ability to articulate clear strategies amid complexity and uncertainty
• Prior experience working with senior leadership
• Generalist self-starter mentality (not a single-industry specialist) with adaptability and willingness to support teammates in the field
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona
• Compensation target: E-F level per Alan's salary equity framework
