As Business Operations Manager, you will drive and improve operational processes in daily business, ensuring they function reliably, efficiently, and smoothly. You will work closely with colleagues across Tech, Product, Operations, and Finance to quickly solve operational challenges and implement improvements directly.
Key responsibilities include: monitoring ongoing processes and relevant KPIs, identifying deviations early and initiating appropriate measures; analyzing operational data using SQL, Power BI, or Python to create transparency on capacity, quality, speed, and bottlenecks; analyzing disruptions and optimization potential, developing pragmatic solutions and supporting successful implementation; coordinating change and automation initiatives to ensure new workflows are sustainably integrated into operations; ensuring internal standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times.
You will be part of a highly motivated, diverse team of 65+ nationalities in a modern office in Berlin-Friedrichshain with a hybrid work model offering flexibility to work as best suits your tasks, plus up to 30 days annually abroad via Workflex. The role offers transparent communication, short decision-making paths, and an open feedback culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed degree in technical, analytical, or business-related field (e.g., industrial engineering, data analytics, business administration with tech focus, STEM, computer science)
- First experience in operations, process management, business analytics, or consulting (or strong interest in developing in these areas)
- Good understanding of business-tech interfaces and comfort working with developers, analysts, and other cross-functional partners
- Experience or interest in startup/scale-up environments valuing dynamism, initiative, and teamwork
- Analytical thinking, structured work approach, and preference for data-driven decision-making
- Strong communication skills; ability to explain complex topics clearly and work collaboratively
- Learning agility and adaptability; ability to switch between topics, functions, and tools while maintaining overview
- Very good German language skills (written and spoken)
