Human Interest is a high-growth fintech company on a mission to make retirement benefits accessible to all working Americans. Backed by major investors including BlackRock, SoftBank, and TPG, the company helps small and medium-sized businesses offer 401(k) plans to their employees.
As Business Lead, New Experiences, you will report to the VP of Experience and own a rotating portfolio of 0-to-1 initiatives that create new products, offerings, and revenue lines. Some initiatives extend the core 401(k) platform with new capabilities, others open new markets through partners and platforms, and some are entirely new product lines. Your mandate is always the current highest-leverage opportunity.
You will take strategic ideas and turn them into real products. This includes building the business case (market sizing, financial modeling, pricing, distribution, competitive analysis), conducting customer and partner discovery through interviews and research, translating findings into product requirements, partnering with technology teams during development, structuring commercial agreements, and leading go-to-market execution. You act as the business counterpart to product and engineering during the build and to the GTM organization at launch. When an offering matures, you hand it off and move to the next opportunity.
This is not a program management role—you own strategy, research, requirements, and commercialization end-to-end. Daily responsibilities include building financial models and pricing, running stakeholder and customer interviews, conducting usability studies, negotiating partner and vendor agreements, and leading positioning and sales enablement.
You bring 8+ years of experience across product, strategy, business development, or general management, with at least 3 years taking new products or offerings from concept to market. You have a proven 0-to-1 track record with a product or business line you built the case for, drove development on, and took to market. You are financially fluent, building models and pricing yourself. You have hands-on research skills from personally running interviews and usability studies. You have a strong track record partnering with engineering and product teams, writing requirements they can build against. You have negotiated partner, vendor, or enterprise agreements with real dollars attached. You communicate at an executive level, both written and live. Experience in retirement, fintech, wealth management, or B2B financial services is a bonus.
