Courier Health is building the future of patient engagement for life sciences companies, helping people living with chronic and rare diseases navigate their healthcare journey. The company's software supports biopharma companies in patient support from diagnosis through therapy initiation and ongoing care.
You'll join an early-stage, growing data engineering team and own the business intelligence function at Courier Health. This is hands-on, high-ownership work focused on building and maintaining Sigma dashboards, developing dbt models that power them, and partnering closely with internal teams and customers to turn data into actionable insights.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design, build, and maintain Sigma dashboards and workbooks for embedded in-product reporting and analytics that end-users rely on daily
• Develop dbt models and SQL transformations with comprehensive tests that convert raw data into reliable, well-documented datasets optimized for reporting
• Work directly with internal teams and customer-facing partners to scope reporting needs, define metrics, and translate ambiguous questions into clear, trustworthy dashboards
• Define and maintain consistent metrics, naming conventions, and a shared semantic/metrics layer to ensure data consistency across the organization
• Monitor replication and orchestrated pipelines, investigate data issues, and add quality checks upstream of reporting datasets
You'll likely have 3-5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering. Strong SQL skills with understanding of relational data modeling are essential. Experience building dashboards in modern BI tools (Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Mode) that stakeholders actually use is required, with bonus points for production or user-facing deployments. Data transformation experience, ideally with dbt in production environments, is important. You should have strong stakeholder communication skills and be eager to learn and grow as an engineer.
