Notion is seeking a Solutions Consultant to own the full customer lifecycle in the Japan market. You will be the single account owner for your book of business, responsible for new logo acquisition, expansion, and renewal. Your core responsibilities include designing and building workflow solutions live with customers—conducting discovery, architecting current-to-future-state workflows, and co-building in Notion alongside the customer. You'll partner with Business Development Representatives on target account planning and co-own outbound motion for your accounts, running direct outreach to priority stakeholders. You'll navigate commercial sizing, proposal construction, procurement, legal, and security reviews to close deals with appropriate scope and implementation paths. You'll guide customers through early implementation with clear adoption plans and handoff to Outcomes Architects for ongoing expansion. Finally, you'll partner with Outcomes Architects on onboarding, adoption strategies, and renewal execution—owning the commercial arc while they drive day-to-day workflow adoption.
Required qualifications include 1–3 years of experience selling technical products to technical buyers, technical fluency with genuine comfort building live in software (demoing, co-designing, troubleshooting without specialist support), strong discovery and qualification instincts to map workflows into commercial outcomes, experience navigating complex multi-stakeholder interactions including procurement and security reviews, and the ability to operate with agency and urgency. You should be obsessed with AI, constantly building with new tools and learning new ways of working.
Nice-to-have qualifications include full-cycle B2B software sales or solutions engineering experience with a track record of exceeding quota on new logo and expansion motions, familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models and credit-based commercial proposals, prior experience selling to mid-market and enterprise accounts in productivity or collaboration software, and experience in shared account ownership models partnering with post-sale or customer success teams.
