Vizzia helps local authorities manage public spaces through AI-powered detection of illegal dumping and 4G/5G video security solutions. As a Business Development Representative, you will be part of a two-person sales pod responsible for developing a territory end-to-end. Your primary responsibility is building pipeline by booking qualified first meetings (P1s) with decision-makers in municipalities—mayors, deputy mayors, chief executives (DGS), municipal police, and cleanliness or security managers. You will work closely with your pod's Account Executive and Regional Director to map your territory, understand local context, and execute a monthly prospecting plan. Day-to-day activities include: - Prospecting: ~70 calls per day across 4 protected one-hour blocks, targeting cold outreach and marketing-qualified leads - Qualification: Confirming need, project ownership, timeline, and budget using a shared qualification framework - Preparation: Researching account history, nearby implementations, local context (budget cycles, antisocial behavior, municipal calendars) before each call - Handoff: Booking P1s with clear summary notes and following up to ensure no lead goes cold - Strategic involvement: Joining demos, site visits, and technical meetings on accounts you opened; running prospecting initiatives (webinars, trade shows, local events); planning attacks on large cities or intermunicipal communities This is a high-volume, high-endurance role. You'll hit a monthly target of qualified P1s and share pipeline/signing targets with your pod. You'll participate in daily check-ins with other BDRs, weekly group call reviews, and weekly pipeline reviews with your pod. Vizzia provides VizziAcademy, an in-house sales training program including playbooks, call libraries, one-on-one coaching with the BDR Director, and certification. Requirements: - Full working proficiency in French and English (mandatory) - Endurance and consistency: ability to maintain pace daily and recover quickly from rejection - Initiative: proactive problem-solving, testing new approaches, finding missing information - Team spirit: focus on pod pipeline over individual metrics; willingness to challenge AEs on follow-up - Confident communicator: ability to capture attention in 30 seconds and frame conversations clearly - Coachability: openness to call monitoring, feedback incorporation, and rapid application - Rigor: clean CRM hygiene, commitment to follow-through, protection of call blocks Nice-to-have: - Prior B2B cold calling or sales experience (including internships/work-study) - Curiosity about local government, budgets, grants, public safety, or cleanliness - Italian language skills
