Flagler Health is building a clinical operating system for modern musculoskeletal (MSK) care, partnering with MSK provider groups and specialty clinics to help them grow, operate efficiently, and deliver better longitudinal care. The company recently raised Series B funding and is scaling its revenue engine.
As a Business Development Representative, you own the top of the sales funnel: identifying MSK practices that fit the ideal customer profile, reaching decision-makers, earning first conversations, and handing qualified opportunities to Account Executives. You'll be selling into an underserved market where practice administrators and physician-owners face significant administrative burden and lack tools built specifically for MSK workflows.
Key responsibilities include running outbound prospecting across email, phone, and LinkedIn into orthopedics, spine, pain management, physiatry, and physical therapy practices. You'll research target accounts to understand practice size, specialty mix, EMR systems, provider count, and pain points before outreach. You'll write personalized outbound sequences that address real practice administrator problems rather than generic value propositions, make high-volume outbound calls, and hold real conversations with gatekeepers, office managers, administrators, and physician-owners.
Additionally, you'll qualify inbound leads from marketing, events, and referrals against ICP criteria, book qualified meetings for Account Executives with thorough briefings, maintain clean CRM data with accurate activity logs and notes, and feed market intelligence back to sales, marketing, and product teams regarding objections, competitive mentions, and messaging effectiveness. You'll hit and exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings booked and opportunities created.
The role requires 1+ year of professional experience (can be your first sales role), comfort with phone prospecting, clear written communication, genuine curiosity about business economics, resilience to rejection, self-direction in a remote environment, and openness to coaching. Nice-to-have qualifications include healthcare or health tech exposure, CRM and sales engagement tool experience, prior SDR/BDR background, and comfort with AI tools.
